Sexy Plus Size Swim Wear

Friday, December 15th, 2006

Are you speeding up your diet and pills for your upcoming swimming party? I must confess that I know how it feels when you only have a week of shedding off those unwanted fats. I had this experience, one time, when someone called me up for a date. It was not the usual date of just the two of us together, but we were with the guy’s family. Oh my gosh! I needed to rush everything — from my swim wear shopping to my dieting. I had only three days to do my best with my excess fats. So, I tried to wake up early the next day and tried to do sit-ups. Unfortunately, I decided to sleep again that morning. I had to think hard what to do with my fats because I had to make a good impression. Yes, it might be boring to you, but I believe in “first impressions last.” Just imagine if they saw my triple layered tummy! Uhh… where’s the curve, honey?

Thank goodness I have a friend who is a know-it-all when it comes to fashion and design. So, here was her advise: wear black! Eureka! It was the best advise I have ever received in our entire friendship. She showed me this T.H.E. Front Skirted Tank. Online shopping, of course, is still the best! It fit really good. Black hid my flabs and it embossed my nice ass (J. Lo’s ass? Nope, much larger than hers). This plus size swim wear gave me the confidence to feel I was sexy and hot. It is a black smooth tank that has a soft front skirt that you can tie around your waist, so you can also hide those fat thighs. It is 80% Nylon and 20% Spandex that is very comfortable to wear. You can move any way you like without worrying about wedgies or exposing those ugly bulgy thighs and tummies. The U-shaped design of this plus size swim wear emphasizes your back that is the sexiest part when you are under water. Furthermore, its straps are also adjustable so you can fit it well to your body. I had my T.H.E. plus size swim wear so I did not have to kill myself with tiring exercises anymore.

There is also this Swirls Front Skirted Tank. Well, the only difference between the two is the design. The first one is in plain black, while the second one has a design of swirls and circles all over the swim wear. Both have skirts to cover a girl’s excess thigh fats and to add more mystery to her sexy bottom without exposing it too much. Incidentally, most of my guy friends confessed that they like it more when they see a covered body of a girl than an exposed one because for them a mysterious girl is more attractive. So, girls go for skirted tanks! Moreover, the swirls and circles in this swim wear divert the focus of the eyes to the design and not to your body shape anymore. This way, your multiple-layered flabs will somehow be hidden.

For some who dislike wearing skirts when swimming, you can go for a simple tank. It is a plain one-piece swim wear that is best for your creamy white complexion. This will make you look gorgeous and astounding. Provided, you wear the magical color for all oversized women: black. Aside from the fact that black makes you look thinner, it emphasizes the color of your skin. Lastly, do not hesitate to flaunt your voluptuous body. Get rid of your intimidation and inferior complex because size doesn’t really matter to someone who loves you, right?

I was really grateful to my friend because, for once, she gave a piece of great advise. Thanks to her, the color black, and the front skirt, the guy asked me out again. At least, with my T.H.E. plus size swim wear I did not need to sweat and tire myself. I did not have to rush my diet or to diet at all. Most especially, I did not have to pretend that I was hot and sexy because I REALLY am (if not for his parents, at least for him).

Swimming In Retrograde

Friday, December 15th, 2006

Vintage apparels are transcendental, but they should not be taken solely at face value. There’s nothing worse than settling for second-hand clothes only because you’re after the retro look. And you have to be extra careful in picking out swimsuits because you never know where, or who, they came from. However, vintage inspired pieces could be your best bet. They’re brand new, sanitary, and vibrant remembrances of the past. Just keep a look out for textured fabrics, knitted bikinis, intricate lace patters, unique sarongs, and snug boy shorts. For a better look, let us revisit the not-too-distant past of vintage and their modern day representations, shall we?

The 50’s was all about abstract expressionism, duck tail dos, hula hoops, Chevrolets, and above all else, the inimitable Marilyn Monroe. If that golden era was a colossal multi-tiered cake, Norma Jeane was the cherry on top of it. Who could forget her diabolical blowing skirt pose, that sultry open-mouth smile, or her controversial relationships with Joe DiMaggio, Arthur Miller, and JFK. Not only was she a Hollywood icon, her sense of fashion was also the talk of the town even to the present. Resurrect the 1950’s glam by taking key pieces and fashion trends from that era to post-modern swimsuit couture. The Viva Panelled Halterneck Front One Piece from Jessika Allen’s Jets Collection is truly a rose among the thorns. This rich red 50’s style halter neck has a paneled bust rouching that accentuates the upper half of the body. Its double lining construction gives sufficient support without the sometimes bothersome under wire. The tie-back design provides ultra-snug comfort to the wearer and creates a smashing silhouette. At first glance, people might actually confuse you for Marilyn.

If 60-year-old fashion isn’t your cup of tea, maybe 50 years back would suit your tastes a lot better. When you think about the 60’s, you immediately picture the landing on the moon, Woodstock, the Vietnam war, Martin Luther King, the Kennedys, and the world’s first lady of supreme elegance, Jackie O. She was graceful and exquisite wherever she went and America treated her like a queen for it. She looked oddly chic even in a blood stained Chanel suit on the day JFK was assassinated. Who could say the same thing about themselves? Well, some women just never say die. To pull off a swimsuit that exudes nothing but Jackie O appeal, you can try the Asha Couture Halter Top and Turquoise Side Bikini. This hot white pair is truly to die for. The halter top has the classic center ring reminiscent of the 60’s era. The low-rise bikini bottom provides full coverage in the back with turquoise embellishments on the sides. Another hot piece from the same collection is the Black Belted Bikini. It has a slick and flattering halter top that gives moderate coverage and maximum support, available in cups A through DD. The full-coverage hipster bottom comes with a two-inch antique brass buckle-and-grommets belt. If you still don’t feel like a modern American royalty in it, you can at least pass off as a Bond girl and that isn’t so bad. Ooh, the Bond girls, how could I forget. With their untamed swimsuit spunk aside, Jackie Onassis will forever be the epitome of 60’s style whether it was premeditated.

The 50’s and the 60’s seriously rocked but the 70’s must be my favorite. Not only was I born in that decade but I remember its psychedelic extravagance like it was just yesterday. You’ve got the lava lamps, eight track, platform shoes, and the birth of disco. Swimsuits were also quite chintzy even in today’s setting. The Andrew Christian Mesh Stripe Low Cut Swimwear is a modern take on the skimpy shorts of the 70’s. Another item in his collection worth mentioning is the Truth Tattoo Low Cut Swimwear. Men would wear this low-waist cut while women are left to drool after it. I don’t think Richard Nixon could’ve pulled off this one. I must confess even years later I still get the “Saturday Night Fever” fever with trunks like these.

Let Your Plus Size Dress Apparel Help You Shine

Friday, December 15th, 2006

Ever felt out of place at a dinner party? Or perhaps a cocktail affair where women were required to wear skimpy dresses meant to show off skinny legs and Twiggy-style hips? You no longer need to put up with that - look good even with plus size dress apparel.

The common misconception is that larger-bodied women are also unattractive women. This is not so! These are modern times, and modern couturiers cater to the needs of women of all body types. Frankly, there’s no excuse not to attend those formal dress affairs anymore. Plus size dress apparel is now being manufactured to cater to every occasion, for every woman.

More often than not, what makes ANY kind of woman unattractive is her low self-esteem. You don’t need to feel bad because you don’t look the same as the impossibly skinny models who are heavily made up and then featured on magazine covers and soap operas. Do you want to be as doll-like - or do you aim to make the best of the beauty you were naturally meant to have?

Dresses - formal dresses, especially - are meant not just to cling to the body, but also to accentuate the parts of the body that especially call for highlighting. For example, you may have smooth, creamy skin, like a lot of full-bodied women tend to have; it would then be good to look around for a dress that would allow you to show off a lot of skin, especially in the arms and upper body area. Showing off your elegant neckline is an excellent way to draw attention to your well-formed upper body, and to bring a natural glow to your face.

Certain cuts of dresses also serve to slim down certain body parts. For full-bodied women who want to play down the size of their hips or their waistlines, two-piece dresses may be the best option. Also, not all full-figured women have well-developed bust areas - dresses with decorative accessories for the upper body, such as blazers or stoles, would certainly help.

Be careful about choosing sleeveless dresses, too. Some full-bodied women may have narrow shoulders and large-ish arms, which may make sleeveless dresses seem awkward. Some formal wear with long sleeves or mid-size sleeves would definitely work well in such an occasion.

Above all: keep your back straight and your chin in the air. Don’t be afraid to show off the beautiful and glamorous you. Shine in any affair with plus size dress apparel.

Plus-fashion.com is the place where full figured beautiful people find the latest ins and outs on plus size dress apparel, plus size clothing and fashion

Things That Grown Women Don’t Wear

Apart from diapers, you mean? Even then, that’s questionable since we do use sanitary napkins…which…erm, some kids liken to a nappy. I know of one mother who actually said it was a nappy to her kids! I was like….argh, eugh, gross…but she took it in her stride, raising her eyebrows asking, “What do YOU suggest I tell them?”

I don’t know…but I told my son that it was none of his business and if he ever dares to touch those…erm, stuff or take it out of the room, I will personally see that his PC game privileges are taken away from him. And he refuses to look into my personal drawer after that.

I am no clothes-horse in person and it was only a couple of hours ago that my aunt in Dubai called me to tell me that I was sloppy. In my personal opinion, I am ‘carelessly casual’. Hey, can you blame me for being so when I work at home and have to consider changing in and out of clothes often because there’s pee, poo, spit, vomit…and what-have-you-nots on them. I do have to take care of my kids, you know! Donald Trump is, unfortunately, out of my league and he’s not my father, so, I have to take care of the kids and work at home at the same time, ok?

And since I work at home, is there a point to dress up in coats and skirts….what, to please my computer?

Anyway, in my personal opinion, there are several things that women shouldn’t wear, under ANY circumstance.

ONE, pigtails. I used to have long hair and whenever I had to perform one of those ‘ah-sam’ (women who have to perform lots of house chores) work, I would tie pigtails. Now I don’t. Why? Well, one of my cousins once asked me if I was trying to behave, act and look like a maid. If I walked side-by-side with my maid, they’d think I was the maid cause even my maid does not wear pigtails.

TWO, overcoats. In this friggin’ weather?? Come on. But even if I was living in a very cold country, I would only wear an overcoat if someone threatened to shave my eyebrows off, ok?

THREE, checkered red and black skirts. ….and look like I was wearing a kilt? Come on. Besides, Kilts are for Scottish MEN, mind you, not sensible women.

FOUR, socks that goes up to the knee. You want to look girly, go for plastic surgery, dear. Wearing socks that goes up to your knee will only make you look like you’re out of your mind, not younger.

FIVE, frilly frocks. Lord, only people who belong in an asylum will want to wear a frilly frock. Or are you pretending to be a princess in the making? Look, if you’re 30 ot 40 years old, wearing a frilly frock makes you look like you don’t know the difference between your nose and your knee.

For aging women, the best thing is to go for simple and casual stuff….back to the kind of clothes I would wear anytime of the day. As long as it is kept simple, nice, tidy, classy and not creased like you’d been snogging with your fave bloke behind the curtain, you should be safe.

Coming from a person who would rather be shot in the toe than wear high heels, you might want to consider whether you want to listen to me yap on about FASHION or not.

The Plus Size Clothing Nightmare

Friday, December 15th, 2006

I’ve worn plus size clothing most of my adult life. And let me tell you, clothes shopping has really been an agravating experience to say the least. You go to the mall and visit the one store that carries sizes more than 1X. You browse the racks and find a nice pink blouse you’d really love to buy, and they DO have plus sizes, but YOUR SIZE PINK BLOUSE IS MISSING. ARRGH!

Or, you might find a pretty black bra that you’d love to have, but they are out of the 42DD. Pure frustration.

At first glance it looks like the big and beautiful store has a lot of items, but when you take into account that each item probably is displayed with 4-6 sizes, there really isn’t that much in one store. Even the big chain stores like Target, Walmart and K-Mart really have a limited supply of plus size clothing. And most of it isn’t very stylish.

And why do all other stores always put the women’s plus size clothing section right next to the Maternity section? I’m offended by that as a large woman, and I’d be offended by that as well if I were a pregnant woman. You have to make sure that you aren’t checking out the clothing that belongs in the maternity section.

Speaking of maternity wear, I know from personal experience that finding maternity clothes as a larger woman is murder! I seems that only the skinny girls get pregnant as far as the clothing manufacturers think. You have to find a special store that carries nothing but plus size maternity clothing, and lots of it.

To add to the frustration, they put the Petites section on the other side of the Women’s section. Come on…no big woman wants to shop next to all those perky little skinny girls.

It’s all so darn frustrating. But there is a solution. Shop online. More items, and more sizes, and total freedom to choose in your own home. An online store doesn’t have space restrictions and can display a thousand items with relative ease.

That’s easier said than done. Some online plus size women’s clothing stores carry a limited line. You have to visit many online shops to find what you want. It’s hard to find an online plus size fashion site that offers bigger size shirts, pants, suits, etc., from many designers and retail stores. An online plus size clothing store can pick clothing from many suppliers and designers, and make plus size fashions available at all price ranges. It can offer plus size lingerie, plus size boots, plus size coats and plus size swimwear. And it can stock a limitless selection of products, and sell them all in one place.

Sure, there are one or two large scale (excuse the pun) plus size shops online, if you can find them. Still, online shopping is definitely the way to go for us plus size women!

Mother Daughter Matching Clothes

Friday, December 15th, 2006

Many mothers are really close with their daughters. When they are infants, they hold them for hours and sing them before sleep. When the infants grow and become adults, their mothers are always supportive and ready to help them. A great number of women say that their daughter is their closest friend. When the latter is a toddler and pre-teen there are many fun ways to show that closeness. Buying mother daughter matching clothes is what some people like to do. There are women purchasing mother daughter matching clothing only for pictures but others wear them every day.

If you think that finding mother daughter matching clothes is easy, you are wrong. It is quite a difficult thing to do as the outfits designed for kids are not what any adult would wear. Such clothing can be found at certain boutique shops. The outfits might be a little different but the fabric is the same. The easiest way to get mother daughter matching clothing is to ask your seamstress in case you have one to create them. It is best if you talk about the design with your seamstress and you should come up with an idea for mother daughter matching outfit that is suitable for both the mother and the daughter.

If you are keen on wearing jeans and white T-shirts, it is really easy to have such mother daughter matching clothing. There are many manufacturers offering same type of jeans for both children and adults. When talking about casual clothing, it’s always nice to see a young lady and her mother in mother daughter matching outfits walking in the park or having a picnic. Some families like the idea of having portraits taken where matching clothing can be showcased. For example, all the men in the family are in jeans and black T-shirts while the female members wear white.

In case you choose to have such a picture, you’ll have a fun portrait showing mother daughter matching outfits as well as father son similar clothing. Many mothers find it amusing to dress her daughter up in clothes similar to their own. Of course, you will never see an adult woman wearing mother daughter matching outfit but young girls like to imitate the way their mothers dress. If you want to make your kid happy, you can purchase or have mother daughter outfit sewn.

Bratz: Girlz With A Passion 4 Fashion

Friday, December 15th, 2006

Yasmin, Chloe, Sasha and Jade - the original girls known as Bratz, came onto the toy seen in 2001 as a new MGA Entertainment product. Since then, the market has exploded with other Bratz Pack girls including Meygan, Dana, Felicia, Nevra, Fianna, Kumi, Katia and Kiana. In addition to the single girls sold, there have been sets of Twiins and Triiiplets and even a few special collector dolls. The Bratz pack girls are every bit as fashion conscious as the original fashion doll queen, Barbie; but yet they are very different. They are hip, they are now and they are incredibly hot. The Bratz girls have unique facial features with their wide eyes and full lips centered on a slightly oversized head. The body and legs are purposely out of proportion and without their shoes snapped tightly into place, the dolls cannot stand up correctly. There are male Bratz dolls knows as the Bratz Boyz and they too are incredibly fashion conscious.

Clothes are current, hip hop influenced with fun names of subsets such as I-Candy and Hollywood Style Sportz. Some critics of the Bratz craze say that the girls dress too grown up to act as a positive example for young girls. However, the whole theme behind the girls and their fashion forward attitude is to empower little ladies with the whole concept of express yourself, have your own identity and above all, girl power. A diverse set of ethnic lines and color palettes of eyes, hair and skin encourage young girls to accept others that may not look like themselves. Learning to live in a diverse world is an important lesson that Bratz helps young ladies understand. But it’s not all fashion for these ten-inch dolls, they have a television show, movies and video games and a full line of party accessories to make sure they are easily available to make young ladies everywhere smile.

Finding Clothes For Barbie Dolls

Friday, December 15th, 2006

Most all girls love to play with barbie dolls. I know my 4 year old daughter sure does. She even tries to get dad to play with her at times! I can remember back in 1959 when fashion Barbie came out. It wasn’t until 1967 when my sister got her first fashion Barbie doll. Barbie has certainly played an important role in the lives of millions of girls around the world.

Barbie dolls come in all different styles and manner of dress. That’s the best part of playing with dolls isn’t it? Girls getting to dress Barbies in different types of fashion. To a degree it is even educational, with a way for younger girls to learn about dressing and how fashion clothing works. I wonder if Mattel thought about the far reaching effects the Barbie doll would have back in 1959?

Many times, Barbie has came under criticism over the years for some of the doll clothes that were made for her. Barbie has been around since 1959 and for a long time many mothers would buy them for their little girls strictly because they had them when they were young. I know that this is what my sister did after she had her first one in 1967. Barbie certainly has a massive selection of fashion clothes, so you can always find Barbie dresses you feel are appropriate.

Although Barbie doll clothes can sometimes be pricey, you can find places to buy them at a good discount. You can find Barbie doll clothes on auctions sites such as eBay, where you can find some incredible deals on fashion clothes. Whether it be from 1959, 1967, or any other year, eBay has it all. Just be sure to check the fashions closely to make sure they are not worn out or the wrong type for your child’s doll.

You can also find Barbie dresses and fashion in retail stores. The Internet is also a good place to look. There are a large number of toy sites that have Barbie doll clothes that cost much less than what you could find in a toy store.

While buying Barbie doll clothes is certainly the most common way to get new fashions, you can also make your own clothes. If you happen to enjoy sewing, this is a great way to add to Barbie’s fashions. You can make an unlimited number of outfits for your child’s doll, and it won’t cost you a mint. You can make just about any kind of Barbie fashion at home, and if you enjoy doing this, you might want to consider turning it into a way to make some good extra money.

Differences in Style of Dress Between Russians And Americans

Friday, December 15th, 2006

When you visit Russia, you will be stunned to see so many well-dressed beautiful women on the streets. Miniskirts and dresses are very popular and Russian women have the figures to show them off to advantage. Russian women enjoy looking their best and they are very neat and stylish.

As Lynn Visson’s “Wedded Strangers” says:

“Both Russian men and women find American women badly dressed. Fashion in Soviet Russia was dictated by the regime. In the Soviet era, trying to look attractive and feminine was not easy.”

“Obtaining fashionable clothes was both incredibly important and difficult. Looking good was a way of asserting control over oneself in a controlled and drab Soviet existence.”

Russian women have a completely different style of dressing than in western countries. They wear short skirts and makeup to make them look as attractive as possible. They like to look sexy.

A Russian woman might wear a tight fitting leopard skin top with a short miniskirt. To her, she is dressing stylishly to show off her good figure. To westerners, her suggestive clothing makes her look ‘cheap’ and ‘available.’

Once Russian women come to America, many of them adopt the casual clothing of Americans. That certainly is the case with my wife, who now finds herself in tee shirts and jeans most of the time when at home.

Of course, when we go out, she knows how to look her best. When she is in Russia, she would never go out of the house like she is dressed in America.

John has been married to a Russian women for over five years. He has travelled the path from finding her, to traveling to Russia, to bring his wife to America, and adjusting to married life. He will show you step by step how to do this yourself. http://www.russian-luv.com/style.html

Dress Barbies For Success

Friday, December 15th, 2006

There is absolutely no doubt that the Mattel barbie doll is the single most popular doll ever made. Barbie has been a huge hit with little girls and so many others for decades now, and her popularity is still being felt today. It’s little wonder why, with all the various Barbie accessories and dress Barbies available, it has made for hours and hours of fun.

Barbies Personalities

Over the past 45 plus years, there have been more variations of Barbies doll than you can remember. She has had many different outfits made for her during this time. From an astronaut to a nurse, Barbie has seen it all. Girls dress Barbies in every fashion and form imaginable. Does anyone remember Barbies pictures in the late 50’s? Barbies dress was originally a swimsuit. She certainly has come a long way and seen a great many changes since then. We have seen Barbie as president, nurse, rock star, fashion model (which was her original design) and over 80 other careers in between. If you can name it, Barbie has most likely been it.

Barbie Controversy

While every form of dress barbies have been put out, the one Barbie that is likely the most controversial was released in 1992. That is when Mattel made a military Barbie during the period of time that the U.S. was involved in operation Desert Storm. The entire military dress barbies had to clear Pentagon approval before being sold to the public. The Pentagon wanted to be sure that the uniforms she wore were as real life as they could be.

Other models of Barbies that have been released over the years have included Olympic Barbie, College Barbie, and we can’t forget a married Barbie. You do remember Ken, right? Not only has barbies dress been numerous, but she has had her share of pets. At last count Barbie has had 21 dogs, 12 horses and a zebra among many others.

Barbies Future

Collectible Barbies are the rage now with all types of models out. There has never been another doll that has been this commercialized and so well planned out in toy history. It’s anyone’s guess as to how long this can continue, but with over 40 years under her belt, I wouldn’t bet against another 40 more.

You can find out much more about Dress Barbies as well as more information on everything to do with Barbie on our website at http://www.Barbie.InfoFromA-z.com.

A Diamond Solitaire Ring for Engagement

Friday, December 15th, 2006

Many couples believe the rings signify eternal love and the unbreakable bond of marriage that’s why more and more people are being meticulous about it. Of all the kinds of wedding and engagement rings available in the market today, one of the most popular and in demand is the timeless diamond solitaire engagement ring because of its timeless and classic appeal. Most women also agree that the simplicity and elegance of the diamond solitaire ring can complement any existing fashion sense out there.

Shopping for that diamond solitaire engagement ring can be quite an adventure/misadventure if you don’t gear up for it. Here are some important details you must bear in mind to lessen the stress during that diamond solitaire engagement ring hunting day.

1. List down what are the things you’re looking for your diamond solitaire engagement ring. Jotting down preferred cut, shape, metal, and cost can help you find that perfect diamond solitaire engagement ring for your fiancée.

2. Surf the net for the latest trends in diamond solitaire engagement ring designs. This kind of ring comes many different beautiful styles, textures, shapes, and colors. Searching for different web sites in the Internet that feature such product will help you determine which ones are valuable. You might even buy online because countless unique collections of every diamond solitaire engagement ring out in the market are also featured there.

3. Since the solitaire ring will exalt the magnificence of the diamond itself, you should examine the stone closely. If you’re on a limited budget, you can purchase the best stone your money can afford and just choose a mount—metal—that is less expensive.

4. Consider the size of the diamond. Make sure that stone size of the diamond should reciprocate the size of the bride. As a general rule, petite woman should wear smaller stones than those full-figured women.

5. Be creative and imaginative. A diamond solitaire engagement ring itself is a traditional style but you can be creative and imaginative about it by experimenting in the shape of the stone and the color of the setting.

6. Consider the cut you prefer. Aside from the size of the diamond stone, the cut or shape of your diamond solitaire engagement ring can set it apart from the rest. The safest and most common cuts are round but you can also opt for princess solitaire or square cut stone, modern heart shape, pear or tear drop shape, oval shape, marquise shape, emerald cut, radiant shape, and asscher shape based on your personal taste.

7. After choosing your stone and its shape, decide on the setting or the metal you want to use. Gold—either white or yellow—is the most common options but you can also choose platinum if you want to be different. The setting can be a four-prong setting that shows off the stone while the six-prong setting offers more of a security advantage.
